About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic and highly technical Transportation design team in Southern Florida. This is an engineering position for an experienced Project/Design Manager with an emphasis on Highway/Roadway design who will be responsible for the technical design and management of roadway design projects in South Florida. This is a great opportunity to produce/manage technical designs and assist in growing the engineering transportation team in our Coral Gables and Ft. Lauderdale offices. The successful candidate will be expected to help grow the roadway design practice by serving as Project Manager for key roadway design project pursuits, managing budgets, schedules, client engagement, managing subcontractors, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables. They will develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity, provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards, and assure effective utilization of engineering personnel and technical quality. A general business development and marketing focus is also expected, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high-quality performance. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and leading a team of Transportation professionals.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Civil Engineering Degree or related field.
  • 10 years of transportation engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
  • Experience in engineering leadership roles and project management.
  • Accomplished track record in Transportation/Roadway design projects and client relationships with FDOT Districts 4 & 6.
  • Experienced as a seller/doer for transportation in the South Florida market.

Nice To Haves

  • 15 years of experience in transportation/highway engineering and management of design projects
  • Experience with the design and management of limited-access facilities.
  • FDOT Design and Design Build experience
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK, 3D corridor modeling.
