About The Position

The Senior Project Manager in the EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction)/ Electric Utilities industry plays a pivotal role in overseeing and driving complex infrastructure and operational projects from initiation through completion. This position ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while meeting stringent regulatory and safety standards. The role requires strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to optimize project outcomes and support the organization's long-term objectives. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to align project goals with business needs and community impact. Ultimately, this role is critical in advancing the utility services' reliability, efficiency, and sustainability through effective project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field or equivalent Substation PM experience
• At least 7 years of project management experience within the utilities or energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills daily to coordinate diverse teams and ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
• Analytical skills are essential for assessing project risks, budget constraints, and resource needs, enabling informed decision-making.
• Effective communication skills facilitate clear and consistent interaction with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Proficiency with project management software and methodologies supports detailed planning, tracking, and reporting of project progress.
• Problem-solving skills are critical for addressing unforeseen challenges and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental standards specific to the utilities industry.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in utilities such as smart grids or renewable energy integration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects with significant safety and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale utility projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations while managing changes and mitigating risks proactively.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project progress and compliance.
• Monitor project performance metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and implementing best practices for future projects.
