About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and value of patient care across the full continuum of care, including wellness, acute, post-acute, chronic, and palliative services. This role partners with clinical and operational leaders to identify performance improvement opportunities, analyze clinical and operational data, implement evidence-based best practices, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes, provider performance, patient experience, and cost of care. Using data-driven methodologies, the specialist evaluates high-cost, high-volume, and problem-prone processes, conducts root cause analyses, benchmarks organizational performance, and develops actionable recommendations to support continuous quality improvement. The role also facilitates multidisciplinary workgroups, coordinates performance improvement initiatives, develops clinical decision support tools, and ensures accountability for project implementation and follow-through. Success in this position requires strong analytical, project management, collaboration, and communication skills, along with experience interpreting healthcare data, improving clinical processes, and supporting organizational excellence through continuous performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a health care related field or Registered Nursing (RN) license required.
  • At least 10 years of previous performance improvement and/or quality experience in a Health System setting required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project coordination experience required.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Expertise in commonly used project management and performance improvement tools (including but not limited to Gantt Charts, Control Charts, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate capabilities to develop, manage and analyze data and databases relevant to the work of project teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership of cross-continuum enterprise wide performance improvement teams.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of constituents inclusive of senior leadership and external practitioners.
  • Knows and applies broad knowledge, principles and practices related to process improvement, project management and change management.
  • Excellent communicator with experience in change management, project management and leadership skills to support organization through improvement changes.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks in response to organizational and department needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
