About The Position

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand and lead our Power Delivery practice in suburban Philadelphia office located in Plymouth Meeting, PA. The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services. This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a Power Delivery practice while growing their own projects, clients, and team around them. Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure that the project needs and objectives are met. Leadership responsibilities include: Operating with integrity and sound business principles, Providing vision, business planning, and strategy, Establishing goals, Building and maintaining positive client relationships, Having open communication with your partners and team. Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as positive leaders and mentors. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience managing Power Delivery and Substation projects
  • Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for utilities and energy providers
  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
