About The Position
NV5 is seeking an experienced civil engineer to contribute to the growth and expansion of its land development engineering department. This role involves managing projects from design through permitting, ensuring compliance with various codes and requirements, and coordinating with project teams, clients, and agencies. The projects encompass a wide range of developments including commercial, residential, municipal, parks and recreation, subdivisions, and utility work.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years land development engineering experience
- Minimum of 3 years project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering
- Florida PE License
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Stormwater and utility experience
- Must pass mandatory DMV check
Responsibilities
- Project design and permitting
- Perform calculations
- Ensure compliance with applicable FDEP, WMD, local, etc. codes and requirements
- Manage and communicate with project team(s), clients, and agencies
- Perform site visits as needed
- Attend external meetings
