About The Position

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I for healthcare construction to provide overall leadership and direction for one large project or multiple projects. The role oversees project quality, timeliness, safety, and team development, while building and improving customer relationships through excellent service. Success requires strong written and verbal communication, flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, efficiency, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality. The position may require travel up to 100%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Minimum eight years of construction management, project management, or related experience.
Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple large, complex projects.
Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback.
Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web applications.
Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
Current driver’s license.
Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

Supervise the overall financial health of projects.
Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
Allocate project estimates into the financial system, determine cost codes, and approve invoices.
Provide financials and billings to Accounting and create monthly owner billings.
Manage subcontracts and suppliers, budgets, and selections.
Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers by providing job assignments and training.
Serve as the main point of contact for the owner and on-site representative.
Resolve site concerns, manage change orders, and obtain necessary approvals.
Maintain project schedules and budgets, and manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
