Requirements

Licensed professional engineer in Michigan, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a similar discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing or serving as a technical lead on transportation projects with a construction value of $20M or less.
Dedication to delivering industry-leading products, staying organized, paying attention to details, and ensuring effective quality control processes.
Understanding of client goals, providing thoughtful options, advising on challenging decisions, and acting as a reliable partner.
Proactive communication to address challenges before they arise.
Well-versed in MDOT and Federal Highway Administration policies and procedures.
Experience in OpenRoads, MicroStation, and/or Corridor Modeling programs.
Ability to maintain budgets, stay on schedule, and meet all deadlines and interim milestones.
Enjoyment of working collaboratively with teams and mentoring others.

Independently steer all technical aspects of roadway engineering.
Lead project design, production, and quality assurance/quality control to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
Effectively communicate with clients and the project team to exceed client expectations, resulting in repeat business and growth opportunities.
Leverage connections and project experience to identify project opportunities, support proposal development, and select strong teaming partners to win work.
Engage in industry events, promote collective achievements, and network with prospective clients and industry professionals.
Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams on projects impacting Michigan and contributing to the state's growth and development.
