About The Position

TC Transcontinental is seeking a Senior Project Manager to help establish a new Project Management Office (PMO) for the Enterprise Technologies Group. This role will contribute to prioritizing, coordinating, and successfully delivering technology-enabled business initiatives. The position can be located in Montreal or Ontario, with a hybrid work model requiring two days on-site in our Aurora, Vaughan, or Mississauga offices. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex projects across various business functions, including manufacturing operations, technology, finance, and HR. You will also play a key role in defining the PMO's processes, governance, standards, and roadmap, aiming to make the PMO a trusted business partner. This senior individual contributor role emphasizes influence, credibility, and collaboration. This is a new position created to support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project management, program management, or business transformation experience
  • 3+ years of experience structuring improvement initiatives from concept to approved-for-execution
  • Proven success leading enterprise-wide technology or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience establishing or improving PMO practices, governance frameworks, portfolio management, or project intake processes
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to partner effectively with leaders across multiple functions
  • Experience working within matrixed environments and influencing without formal authority
  • Focus on bringing value and business analyst mindset
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar
  • Pragmatic and outcomes-oriented; manages multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent command of English

Nice To Haves

  • French an asset
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, multi-site, or operations-driven environments
  • Experience with Software Development or Tech domains
  • Exposure to automation, AI, Power Platform, ERP, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience supporting organizational change management and adoption
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, or related certification is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead technology and business transformation initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendors, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to identify priorities, build business cases, and align solutions with organizational goals.
  • Establish and mature PMO practices, including intake, prioritization, governance, portfolio reporting, and delivery standards.
  • Drive organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and adoption activities.
  • Provide leadership with visibility into project health, resource capacity, dependencies, risks, and business value.
