About The Position

TRC is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join their growing Civil/Site Design team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in site design, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design. This position offers the opportunity to partner with and learn from experienced engineers, project managers, and technical staff. Civil engineers in this role will be part of a site development team, designing improvements including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management for a variety of private and public clients across Virginia and the US.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years project management experience with a focus on civil engineering project delivery.
  • Professional Engineering License in Virginia; or the ability to become licensed within three (3) months.
  • Successful track record of project delivery through planning, preliminary and final design.
  • Proven track record and strong desire of providing superior client service and delivery.
  • Proven ability in leading a team of engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of two (2) to four (4) engineers and CAD designers.
  • Lead Civil Engineering related project aspects including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Plan, model, and design facilities such as public and private facilities, including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide project management on various sized projects to ensure successful outcomes for the client, the company, and staff.
  • Ensure budgets and schedules are adhered to.
  • Execute engineering best practices for civil engineering projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.
