About The Position

Erdman Anthony is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead impactful infrastructure projects in Western New York. This role offers the chance to grow beyond project delivery, with opportunities in client relationships, operations, business development, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be positioned for increasing responsibility, with a pathway to a management role and potential ownership. The work involves water and sewer infrastructure, site development, parks, roadways, and utilities. Responsibilities include leading projects from design through construction, serving as a client advisor, mentoring engineers, and building the company's regional market presence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of civil engineering/project management experience
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering
  • NYS PE license or ability to obtain within six months
  • Leadership ability and interest in growing into a larger management role
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Valid NY driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Water/sewer, site civil, municipal, or infrastructure experience preferred
  • CADD and/or engineering design software experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil projects from scope and design through construction and closeout
  • Serve as a key client contact and build lasting relationships with municipal, agency, and private-sector clients
  • Work closely with senior leadership to gain knowledge of practice operations, strategic planning, and business development
  • Assume progressively greater leadership responsibilities in support of a planned succession strategy
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as Engineer of Record on applicable projects
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, staffing, and project delivery
  • Lead and mentor engineers and technical staff while building a high-performing team
  • Identify opportunities, develop proposals, and help win new work and grow the WNY backlog
  • Partner with leadership on practice growth, strategic opportunities, and long-term planning
  • Maintain accountability for project profitability, quality, client satisfaction, and team performance
