About The Position

Propela Tech is a healthcare-focused advisory and technology firm that helps organizations streamline operations, unlock their data, and scale more efficiently through custom-built tools. We're a team of technologists, former healthcare operators, and strategic thinkers who understand the real-world complexity of running healthcare businesses—and we build solutions that actually work. This role reports directly to our Director of the PMO. We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex healthcare technology initiatives. This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination between clients, engineers, solution architects, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly organized, communicates exceptionally well, and can confidently manage multiple concurrent projects while navigating ambiguity and changing priorities. This role is client-facing and delivery-focused. Success will be measured by project outcomes, client satisfaction, team coordination, and the ability to drive projects from kickoff through launch and stabilization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience leading software development, technology implementation, or healthcare technology projects.
  • Experience managing custom software development projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a consulting, agency, or professional services environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, QA analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Jira (advanced proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Own the successful delivery of multiple concurrent client engagements.
  • Serve as the primary project management lead for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment between client goals and delivery execution.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, sprint planning sessions, and executive stakeholder reviews.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, timeline, and risks while proactively identifying mitigation strategies.
  • Partner closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Engineers, and Client Success teams to translate business requirements into actionable work plans.
  • Manage client communications, status reporting, issue resolution, and expectation setting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive projects through user acceptance testing, launch preparation, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Ensure smooth transition of completed projects into ongoing support and maintenance workflows.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting notes, decisions, action items, and status reports.
  • Track project progress using Jira and ensure tickets, milestones, and deliverables remain current and actionable.
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments while maintaining transparency with clients and internal teams.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, and resource concerns appropriately to leadership.
  • Contribute feedback and recommendations to continuously improve Propela's delivery methodologies and project management processes.
