About The Position

Forge is seeking a Senior Specialist to support the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) in developing and aligning project management strategies, documents, and approaches for the judiciary's financial management community, including the AO, Federal Judiciary Center (FJC), and Federal Public Defender Organizations (FPDO). The role requires a Project Management Professional (PMP) with active certification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus six (6) years relevant work experience in Project Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, Project, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization or extensive experience with projects related to financial and business-related applications, including the development of process and related IT application systems.
  • Experience in standardization, policy writing, documentation, establishment of standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with establishing or designing an enterprise-wide Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Experience developing project documentation, processes, and standardized templates.
  • Experience managing and tracking progress on multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of projects related to data management systems and project management processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FPO staff on project management activities from identification to closeout.
  • Provide Business Case, Organizational Charters, and Project Charter artifacts.
  • Develop project activity sequences, durations, resource requirements, schedule constraints, and project management artifacts including Scope, Time/Schedule, Cost/Financial, Risk Management Plan and Risk Register, Quality, and Project Communications.
  • Create and maintain an online repository for project management artifacts using Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Identify the type and quantity of resources (people, skills, material, technology, financial, reporting, organizational) needed for each project management activity.
  • Identify project stakeholders, their interests, involvement, and impact on project success.
  • Provide high-level visual representations of project timelines, including goals, resource allocation, budget, milestones, deadlines, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Detail dependencies and relationships of identified projects to overall program goals and objectives.
  • Assist in providing a Project Management Approach for each project.
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 20 projects with a combined budget of approximately $20 million.
  • Provide ongoing Project Schedule management and support.
  • Support FPO program management integration activities to ensure alignment with the Master Project Roadmap.
  • Identify and define project stakeholders, requirements, scope, objectives, schedules, resources, equipment, and information needed to meet FPO requirements.
  • Assist project staff in identifying and documenting key project tasks, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Communicate with FPO stakeholders regarding project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
  • Communicate project expectations and goals to FPO stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the FPO COR on planning activities to align project schedules with management expectations and goals.
  • Collaborate with the FPO COR and stakeholders to direct resources and activities for maintaining project completion schedules and achieving deliverable expectations.
  • Provide regular status reporting on current project activities, including completion status and risks.
  • Prepare and provide information for management and executive briefings, including narratives for In Progress Reviews (IPRs), Working Group and Committee meeting updates/metrics, and end-user broadcasting, marketing, and promotional materials support.
