About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Senior Project Geologist to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. During the off-season, this position will be based out of our Saskatoon office. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in the second half of 2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Senior Project Geologist plays a key role in advancing exploration programs through target generation, hands-on technical management of drilling and surface field programs, and assisting in research and innovation initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in our exploration operations by contributing to the understanding of structural geology, deposit models and mineral systems application in our deposit areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, or a related field.
  • Professional registration as a P.Geo. is required. Candidates must currently hold P.Geo. designation and be registered with APEGS or be eligible to transfer their existing P.Geo. registration to APEGS.
  • 7+ years of post-graduate experience in exploration program execution, project generation and mineral systems applications, preferably with experience around mine sites.
  • Previous experience managing or monitoring exploration programs.
  • Fully proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well with others in a remote site field camp.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful.
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as required.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with geological software, such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Geoscience Analyst, Acquire and ioGAS is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate multi-disciplinary geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify, rank, and prioritize target areas incorporating a mineral systems approach.
  • Conduct regional to deposit scale geological studies to refine exploration models and expand the project pipeline.
  • Utilize spatial data, structural geology models, and 3D geological modeling tools to design and refine exploration targets.
  • During the field season, assist the project team with program oversight and execution, core logging and field program execution as required
  • Assist with sample shipping, tracking, and overall management for drilling programs following prescribed QA/QC programs.
  • Participate in data collection, integration, interpretations and reporting.
  • Monitor drilling activities to ensure compliance with program as designed, including drill rig site inspections and drill hole deviation monitoring, spotting drill holes, checking rig alignment or performing downhole gyro surveys.
  • Prepare program reports, maps, and other documents as required to document programs with the Sr. Geologist or Technical Lead.
  • Lead or assist with technical initiatives such as core scanning trials, structural re-interpretation, lithogeochemical studies, geochronology studies, legacy dataset re-interpretation, and re-logging and interpretation of historic core.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior team members.
  • Other exploration related duties as assigned
