About The Position

ACE Controls is hiring a Senior Project Estimator with experience in PLC systems, instrumentation, and electrical (I&E) projects to lead estimating for complex industrial work. This role gives you ownership from scope to final bid submission.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of estimating experience in Industrial controls / automation
• 5+ years of estimating experience in Electrical or I&E systems
• Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider)
• Strong knowledge of Instrumentation and electrical systems
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings independently

Nice To Haves

• Additional technical training preferred
• Industrial or water/wastewater experience
• Field background (electrician, controls tech, commissioning)
• NEC / UL508A knowledge

Responsibilities

• Build estimates for industrial controls, PLC/DCS systems, and electrical installations
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, one-lines, and control schematics
• Price labor, materials, instrumentation, and subcontractors
• Identify risk, gaps, and cost drivers
• Work with engineering, PMs, and vendors to develop accurate bids
• Own estimates through final proposal submission
