As the Senior, Project Engineer, you will manage the engineering activities related to design for utility-scale renewables projects (wind, solar, and energy storage) throughout the US and Canada and serve as a main point of contact. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate design meetings with Consultants or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractors, and schedule regular meetings and communications with the project team. You will review and monitor contractors’ progress and key project milestones, provide engineering technical input at various project stages, coordinate design efforts with EPC or external consultants, and review design submittals and equipment selection with support from ENGIE subject matter experts (Civil and Electrical). You will update standards and specifications based on lessons learned, manage external engineering firms and subcontractors, and ensure all deliverables meet project specifications. You will actively identify and manage critical risks, issues, and impacts, ensuring adherence to corporate health & safety and environmental requirements. You will coordinate with internal teams (Development, Engineering, Operations, Permitting, GIS, and Land group), assist procurement in running RFPs and managing sub-contractors, and support crossing exhibits. You will facilitate professional development and networking opportunities and stay updated on new technologies, regulatory conditions, industry best practices, and safety standards. You will perform site assessments, design review meetings, and due diligence throughout the USA and Canada to support site evaluation, development, and permitting activities.
