About The Position

This senior-level engineering position leads engineering design and optimization efforts, drives technical innovation, and ensures high standards in project execution. The role provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems; resolves highly complex technical issues; and recommends changes to improve product and procedural quality. The engineer guides projects from conception through completion with cross-functional teams, aligning solutions with operational and business objectives. The role calls for independent judgment on project management and scheduling, broad engineering or research and development experience or deep subject-matter expertise, and the ability to develop new approaches to complex problems. The position focuses on downhole drilling services tools and components. It includes product development, design validation, repair-process engineering, reliability improvement, and coordination of technical projects. The engineer provides technical guidance, works with internal and external stakeholders, manages project risks, and mentors junior engineers. Weatherford describes itself as a global energy services company delivering technology and operational solutions across energy operations.
