About The Position

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its National Mission Critical team. The role connects the on-site construction team with project management leadership, taking ownership of project administration and managing specific phases of construction with increasing autonomy. It is intended for someone with foundational construction experience who wants to develop project management skills on large-scale, technically complex projects, and offers a direct career path to a Project Manager role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach, with ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; employment verification is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the mission-critical sector, such as data centers, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing.
Experience with scheduling software such as P6.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager with overall project administration from pre-construction through closeout.
Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
Help prepare and maintain project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with preparing and controlling the project budget by tracking job costs and labor productivity.
Help prepare bid documents and participate in subcontractor buyout and negotiations.
Process and track change orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve day-to-day technical issues.
Assist the Superintendent with developing and managing the project schedule.
Participate in and help lead jobsite coordination meetings, contributing to problem-solving and planning.
Promote Ryan’s Safety First culture and help ensure high standards of quality control.
Lead the project punch list process to support timely and successful completion.
Help compile final closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
