The company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who wants to do more than manage documents—you’ll manage people. This position is designed as a leadership training ground, giving you early exposure to team management responsibilities that most professionals don’t experience until much later in their careers. You will oversee and mentor Project Engineers across multiple job sites, gaining hands-on leadership experience while working alongside a supportive senior project management team.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in commercial construction
  • Demonstrated initiative with a strong desire to mentor and develop others
  • Expert-level proficiency in Procore
  • Familiarity with the Michigan construction market and willingness to travel to local job sites

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Project Engineers; provide guidance on submittals, RFIs, and documentation processes.
  • Drive the engineering lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Serve as the link between field operations and project management to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Support budget tracking, scheduling updates, and change order processes to maintain project performance.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
