About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a range of innovative ingredients and branded products. The Senior Project Engineer will manage, plan, support, and execute engineering deliverables for site capital projects at one of Cargill's corn milling facilities. This role involves developing and applying engineering standards and procedures, and providing advice on engineering-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of four years of related work experience
• Construction management, commissioning and start-up experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing projects or portfolio of projects $5M+
• Experience with SAP

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction, commissioning and start-up of structures, facilities, systems and components.
• Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
