About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology and over 6 years of experience in roadway design and engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia is required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Bentley InRoads, Open-Roads, and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to train others in these programs. Strong communication and time management skills are essential, along with a proven ability to meet budgets and deadlines. This role requires the ability to work efficiently from home full-time, with occasional site visits, client meetings, public meeting attendance, and participation in employee functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
• 6+ years of related experience in roadway design and engineering
• Professional Engineer, PE, license in Georgia
• Proficient in Bentley InRoads, Open-Roads and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Proven ability to meet budgets and deadlines
• Able to efficiently work from home full time with occasional need to conduct site visits, meetings with clients, attend public meetings, and participate in employee functions
• Knowledgeable in utilizing transportation design resources including AASHTO, GDOT, FHWA, and local guidelines, processes, policies, and procedures

Nice To Haves

• Willing to train other engineers in the design and utilization of transportation design resources

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of transportation projects from concept through construction.
• Complete required computations, produce construction plans, and concept layouts.
• Write technical reports and oversee other engineers in the design of projects.
• Develop cost estimates, specifications, and bid documents, and oversee other engineers developing these documents.
• Plan and follow through on work assignments within allocated timeframes to meet project budgets and schedules, and collaborate with other engineers to achieve these goals.
• Complete field work as needed, including erosion inspections, construction inspections, field plan reviews, site visits, and on-site meetings with clients and property owners.
• Coordinate and communicate with other staff, clients, the public, and subconsultants.
