Senior Project Engineer - Transportation

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer, PE to join our Transportation team in our Oakdale office. In this role, you will support and lead design teams on transportation planning, design and construction reviews in connection with a wide range of multi-disciplined projects involving various aspects of highway/roadway/drainage design, safety studies, multi-modal roadway planning, transit design, site civil design, and design reviews. This role will work closely with our Project Managers with current project requirements and planning future projects, as well as mentoring and developing a team to help strengthen their transportation knowledge and skills. We are looking for candidates who possess a high capacity for self-motivation and can apply engineering and transportation knowledge to a variety of projects. In addition, you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 10+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS
- Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Performs detailed design computations
- Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design
- Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
- Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates
