Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical

Stark TechTampa, FL

About The Position

Stark Tech is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical who excels by transforming mechanical system requirements into high-performance, energy-efficient, and fully integrated building solutions. You lead projects from conceptual design through construction support and commissioning, applying deep technical expertise in HVAC, hydronics, central plant systems, and air distribution to ensure every design is safe, code-compliant, and optimized for long-term reliability. You thrive at bridging early pre-construction solutioning with detailed engineering and field execution-collaborating across mechanical, electrical, structural, controls, and architectural teams to deliver systems that perform as designed in the real world. Through technical leadership, clear communication, and mentorship of engineering and design staff, you elevate project quality, improve constructability, reduce risk, and strengthen Stark Tech's reputation for delivering high-performance mechanical infrastructure.

  • Experience defining sequences of operation and integrating mechanical systems with BAS platforms.
  • Proven ability to conduct system retrofits, upgrades, and performance optimization analyses.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable codes, safety standards, and environmental/regulatory considerations.
  • Skilled in creating Basis of Design documents, narratives, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Experience coordinating mechanical designs with electrical, structural, controls, and architectural teams.
