Build the future of Ontario’s communities. This Senior Project Engineer role puts you at the center of designing, shaping, and delivering transformative land development projects across the province. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, guide complex files through municipal approvals, and act as a trusted strategic partner for clients looking to bring new communities, campuses, and commercial hubs to life.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in land development engineering with proven leadership of complex, multi-phase projects.
  • P.Eng. in Ontario, with extensive experience engaging municipalities, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • A strong command of Ontario’s land development and development‑approvals landscape.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and comfort working within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Ability to lead teams with clarity, empathy, and accountability in fast‑moving project environments.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in project management, fee development, and client stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional land development projects from concept through construction.
  • Own client relationships — serve as the primary technical and design contact, anticipating needs and providing strategic guidance.
  • Drive all aspects of project delivery, including scope, budgets, schedules, resourcing, and risk management.
  • Navigate municipal and agency approvals using your deep understanding of Ontario processes and longstanding WSP relationships.
  • Champion quality assurance across all design outputs, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, fee estimates, and pursuit strategies.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers, helping develop the next generation of land development talent.
  • Collaborate across WSP disciplines (transportation, environmental, geotechnical, water resources, planning) to deliver holistic, integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, innovative design approaches, and digital‑delivery advancements.
