About The Position

CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Electrical to design electrical systems for a range of small and large projects. This hands-on role offers opportunities to lead projects and represent the company in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. The engineer will receive guidance and mentorship from Senior Engineers and be trained to become a Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–9+ years of experience in electrical system design.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, electrical engineering standards, and other trades.
• Understanding of the construction process and ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems and ability to investigate, identify, and provide solutions to technical problems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with code.
• Collaborate to solve complex engineering problems, including conflicting design requirements, unsuitable conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed.
• Confer with other engineers and personnel to meet project deadlines.
• Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
• Apply engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
