About The Position

As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer at Ethos Engineering, you will work within the Data Centre sector. You will have a thorough grasp of electrical design and engineering techniques, with confidence in working independently and in support of the team, ensuring successful completion of designs to meet construction timelines and requirements. This role involves leading the Electrical Services design for a range of projects, including the design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors, producing detailed schematics, and developing electrical design standards within the organization. You will also mentor junior engineering staff, provide detailed tender packages, monitor installation and quality on site until project completion, and perform tender report/analysis/recommendations. Developing project scope with the design team/client, producing budgets and reports for clients, attending site visits, and taking the lead on projects with minimal input from the management team are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Honours Degree
  • 10+ years as a Senior Engineer
  • Must have electrical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projects
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
  • Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
  • Communicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • Chartered an advantage but not essential
  • Working knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantage
  • Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completion
