About The Position

CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. in Bentonville, AR is looking to hire a full-time Senior Project Designer to provide AutoCAD design for our civil engineering company. This role is at the heart of our land development team, focusing on turning concepts into reality by designing comprehensive site development plans, including site geometry, utilities, grading, drainage, and erosion/sediment control. The Senior Project Designer will perform complex drainage calculations for slopes, hydraulic systems, sewer designs, and detention ponds. Utilizing expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, the role guides projects from initial concept to constructible bid documents, analyzes surveys, field notes, and site data, and handles redlines and revisions. Collaboration with Project Managers is key for communicating progress, troubleshooting technical challenges, and aligning budgets and billing. Additionally, the Senior Project Designer will mentor CAD Technicians and junior designers. Requirements

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years of CAD design experience
High proficiency with AutoCAD
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to occasionally travel overnight

Responsibilities

Designing comprehensive site development plans, spanning site geometry, utilities, grading, drainage, and erosion/sediment control.
Running complex drainage calculations for slopes, hydraulic systems, sewer designs, and detention ponds.
Guiding projects seamlessly from initial concept to constructible bid documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Analyzing surveys, field notes, and site data proactively.
Tackling redlines and revisions efficiently.
Working closely with Project Managers to communicate progress, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure budgets and billing align with project forecasts.
Acting as a trusted mentor, guiding CAD Technicians and junior designers.
