We are hiring a Senior Project Coordinator - Utilities to join our team based in Toronto, Ontario. The Senior Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of Utility activities throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Design Teams, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure Utility work progresses safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience coordinating utilities or MEP scopes within large infrastructure, transit, commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project coordination experience within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and or public utility disciplines.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, transit, rail, transportation, commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
  • Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Utility project activities across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Support Project Managers in monitoring project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
  • Track progress and identify schedule impacts, delays, and mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, utilities, and client representatives to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation of project schedules, work plans, status reports, and progress updates.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings, construction meetings, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
