KEITH is looking for a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL. We are looking for positive individuals to fit our energetic culture. The Senior Project Controls Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by assisting the executive leadership and project management team in managing project scheduling, accounting, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong background in finance, accounting, or administration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and forward-learning environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5 + years of experience in project controls, scheduling, accounting, documentation or a related role within Engineering, Architecture, or Construction industry.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and financial management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Coordinating with PMs to monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes.
  • Coordinating with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Monitoring project performance against budgets, schedules and financial targets.
  • Analyzing schedule and financial alignment, identifying risks, and recommending corrective action.
  • Responsible for project billing, accounts receivable and consultant billing.
  • Validating complex contract components, including fee structures, retainage, revenue recognition, and billing requirements.
  • Leading financial forecasting, including labor, revenue, margin, cost to complete, and scenario building.
  • Overseeing project billing, consultant invoicing, and subconsultant compliance.
  • Assisting in the development of project proposals with project team.
  • Assisting in tracking project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Preparing and analyzing cost reports, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, billing records, and financial correspondence.
  • Reviewing contracts and amendments to ensure financial and billing requirements are properly reflected.
  • Ensuring all project documents are organized and accessible.
  • Supporting the preparation of project closeout documentation, including final billing, reconciliation, and document archiving.
