About The Position

TechSource, a Salas O'Brien company, is seeking a full-time Senior Project Controls Analyst to support a Program Management Office (PMO). This role involves providing crucial budget, cost, and forecasting information to Program Managers and offering secondary corporate proposal pricing support. The position is based in the Albuquerque office. After an initial training period of 2-4 months, a hybrid work arrangement may be approved, allowing for 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field.
  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in project controls/financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-orientation, consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Strong computer, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with diverse work groups.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) for data analysis, report creation, and presentation.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions to improve processes, and execute process improvement initiatives.
  • Effective utilization of accounting software for budget creation and project cost monitoring.
  • Eligible to obtain a DOE L or Q Clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Federal government project controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project controls support to Program Managers, including tracking funding, performance, and financial activity for active projects.
  • Build and maintain automated monthly summary reports using the ERP system and automated reporting functionality for TechSource Leadership, reflecting financial activity and overall program well-being.
  • Review monthly financial activities of TechSource and Subcontractors, including invoice review for accuracy, contract funding, forecasting, burn rate analysis, and percent funding spent notification, to support monthly financial program reporting.
  • Present findings and analysis to Program Management to ensure up-to-date information is available for project management decision-making.
  • Prepare annual financial forecasts and quarterly forecasts, and perform monthly variance analysis of actuals to forecast.
  • Support proposal efforts with forecasted pricing calculations in response to RFQs and RFPs, including pricing for new or revised contracts upon request.
