About The Position

Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Control Specialist to support ongoing operations in Aiken, SC. This role will provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline, and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams. The support services include executing process responsibilities for the organization, development, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision-making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and trend engineering established objectives.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
  • Proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, spend out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, and funding.
  • Strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software (Cobra preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred.
  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
  • Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle's OBIEE is desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of cost processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams.
  • Execute process responsibilities associated with organization, development, analysis, implementation and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering and trend engineering established objectives.
  • Prepare schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports which identify variances in work execution strategy.
  • Provide timely feedback and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program or other work activity.
  • Provide Project Controls services using SRNS processes and procedures, with programmatic guidance from SRNS.
