About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer and project manager to support surface mining, mine waste storage, and heavy civil infrastructure design and analysis in its Mining Division. The role calls for broad experience supporting surface mining operations and the design, management, and evaluation of waste rock storage, heap and run-of-mine leaching, and tailings storage facilities. The position provides project leadership in civil design, investigation, analysis, and water management for mine waste facilities and multidisciplinary mining projects. It may serve as lead engineer or discipline lead on medium- to large-sized projects, managing teams of five or more across multiple disciplines and subcontractors. The role also works with current and prospective clients, supports proposals and growth of the Mining practice, and provides technical direction and mentoring to staff. The role may be the primary client contact and includes delivering work within agreed scope, budget, and schedule. The position is hybrid and based in Reno, Nevada. Sponsorship and relocation are not provided. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
