About The Position

This role is responsible for developing bid packages, submitting Request for Quote (RFQ), evaluating commercial proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and awarding purchase orders. Responsibilities could also include expediting of vendor data and equipment in support of various projects. The position requires familiarity with the execution of heavy industrial projects including chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing. The Senior Project Buyer will interpret project scopes, statements of work, and project requirements, develop procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services, and mentor less experienced Procurement staff. The role also involves developing strategic sourcing agreements.

Requirements

10 or more years of relevant industrial experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in Project Procurement
Knowledge and application of company procurement policies and procedures
Ability to organize effectively and execute tasks efficiently
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Bachelor or Master of Science degree in related field from an accredited university
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
