About The Position

Perkins&Will's healthcare practice is seeking a Project Architect with over 10 years of experience in complex projects and strong business acumen. This role requires a leader who champions the design process, possesses excellent technical skills, and is proficient in Revit and 3D software. The ideal candidate will collaborate with and lead consultant and project teams to achieve successful outcomes for clients.

  • Visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion and VRay
  • Physical modeling tools such as 3D printing and laser cutting
  • Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop
  • Environmental Analysis software such as Pollination Ladybug and Climate Studio
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required

Responsibilities

  • Leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise, adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, project management, execution, and living design.
  • Understanding and responding to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial goals.
  • Leading and participating in project documentation development and the production of deliverable drawings and specifications.
  • Overseeing and managing Quality Control reviews at each phase for conformance with firm standards, contractual obligations, and project design intent, focusing on quality, accuracy, legibility, completeness, and constructibility.
  • Directing project Quality Assurance efforts and ensuring adherence to Perkins&Will standards.
  • Accountable for effective project coordination efforts among internal disciplines (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture) and with external consultants.
  • Communicating with clients regarding project technical matters.
  • Overseeing project regulatory reviews (building code, accessibility, zoning) and coordination with, and submission to, authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient team performance of construction contract administration responsibilities.
  • Maintaining awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to project work.
  • Contributing to project marketing pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews.
  • Leading collaborative teams in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
  • Demonstrating strong and effective communication, decision-making, and collaboration to inspire high team performance.
  • Mentoring staff and providing oversight of assignments.
