Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Business, with a minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting, required.
  • Five years of experience within a financial institution is required.
  • Experience in business analysis, project coordination, financial systems, or accounting operations required.
  • Experience with Anaplan is required.
  • Bondability by TFCU’s chosen authority is required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience analyzing financial data, trends, ratios, and variances.
  • Knowledge and background of financial methodologies related to budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and all processes related to integration of current Credit Union systems into the Anaplan platform.
  • Knowledge of model performance, user experience design, along with governance, and long-term platform sustainability.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan platform architecture, including models, modules, lists, hierarchies, and version control.
  • Knowledge of scenario analysis and forecasting with the ability to independently design forecasting scenarios based on expected rate environment.
  • Proficient working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, RAP, NCUA rules, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, and draw sound conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships across departments.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the AVP/Project Manager, Finance in overseeing departmental initiatives, special projects, and strategic activities, with a primary focus on the implementation of the accounting system (Anaplan) and ongoing enhancements to strategic accounting processes.
  • Identifying, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements and project objectives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conducting initial project scoping, including evaluating business impacts and calculating project costs and benefits to support informed decision-making.
