About The Position

The City of South Jordan is hiring a part-time Driver to support Senior Programs at the Community Center. This role helps senior residents safely travel to and from programs, activities, and events while providing courteous assistance and dependable service. As part of the Senior Programs team, this position plays an important role in helping residents stay active, engaged, and connected to the South Jordan community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• At least six months of closely related work experience.
• Able to obtain a valid Utah Class C Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement within six months of hire.
• Able to obtain valid First Aid and CPR certification within six months of hire.
• Patient, professional, safety-focused, and committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate 14- to 18-passenger vehicles to transport senior residents throughout the City and to Senior Program activities.
• Operate a 4-passenger City vehicle for transportation to various activities and events.
• Assist passengers with loading, unloading, and special transportation needs.
• Help ensure the safety of staff, residents, and passengers during transportation.
• Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance, operation, and residents transported.
• Fuel, clean, inspect, and report maintenance needs for assigned vehicles.
