Leidos is looking to hire a Senior Programmer in Iwakuni, Japan to join our SMIT team. As a Senior Programmer under the Leidos SMIT contract, you will serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) modernization effort. You will oversee the design, implementation, and security of web-based solutions that manage personnel readiness, access permissions, and automated workflows. By bridging the gap between legacy C# applications and modern Power Platform cloud solutions, you will provide government stakeholders with enhanced visibility and data-driven decision-making capabilities while ensuring 100% compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards. The candidate must possess robust competencies across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, specifically focusing on Power Platform application development. Success in this role requires a synthesis of scalable architecture, strict adherence to Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) for securing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and user-centric design to ensure resilient and efficient administrative capabilities. SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
