SGI Global is seeking a Senior Programmer to support USSOCOM J8-S programming, software development, system integration, and analytic tool maintenance in support of Joint Mission Analysis and related analytical processes. This role serves as a primary developer and integrator for JMA models and tools and supports software, database, and networked analytical environments critical to the J8-S mission. Contingent on contract award Responsibilities Provide programming and development support to J8 Perform duties as Baseline and Privileged Use certified IAT Level II in accordance with applicable DoD and USSOCOM guidance Oversee development of software coded solutions, including modeling and simulations, spreadsheets, data entry, web, GIS, and database efforts Provide technical expertise regarding hardware requirements and software modeling and coding efforts Complete software programming, bug fixes, and integration activities Serve as primary developer and integrator for JMA models and tools including SCRAAM, SOFAMS, Leveler/Grapher, Reporter, Date Movement Tool, Scenario Grouper, Resource Set Shaper, Scenario Disengagement Tool, and Scenario Pass and Priority Tool Liaise with the Database Administrator and Network Systems Engineer for software design, database design, hardware configurations, and communication requirements Provide and maintain software and data on the system including SOFAMS and associated databases, SCRAAM, SOFARM, SOF Logistics Model, and other analytic products Support the Development Network through coding, testing, and refinement of models and tools Act as software application administrator for software residing on the JMA LAN, J8-S desktop computers, and required COTS software Install, test, and maintain software upgrades as directed by the Government Interface with the Global Force Management and GSOS process to determine model requirements, manage data fidelity, analyze results, and develop model products Provide J8-S software for each functional SOA to enter CONOPS in all mission areas Provide and maintain a Leveler Module compatible with SOFAMS Provide development and maintenance capability for the stand-alone network crucial to the J8-S mission Evaluate and make recommendations on new hardware and software to increase efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and integration within the JMA system Evaluate and make recommendations on the impact of new or emerging technologies on SOF capability assessments, analyses, and processes Provide insights and recommendations regarding potential new technology needs derived from JMA SOFAMS or related analyses Use database design and support methodologies to enhance retrieval of stored data and ensure efficient operations Ensure analysts can enter data, define data queries, and use analytic tools to examine and analyze results Create online tutorials, help files, programmed instruction, manuals, and drill tasks Document processes and training developed to maintain a historical record Qualifications U.S. Citizen. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related Information Technology discipline 10+ years of development experience in a role as Programmer/Analyst, Senior Programmer or Application Developer. Experiences shall include: Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Architecture or Data Modeling RDBMS and/or NoSQL/Non-relational database development, to include the writing of advanced queries and stored procedures Development of various COTS/GOTS software applications and solutions using various development languages or frameworks such as: .Net/JAVA/JavaScript/Python/R 2 years of experience (can be concurrent with the 10 years above) performing the role of Lead Developer and/or Data Architect. Baseline and Privileged Use Certified Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I; IAT Level II must be obtained within 6 months of start date. Top Secret Clearance desired but must possess a current DoD Secret clearance and be upgradable to Top Secret within 4 months and eligible for SCI access and ACCM read-on.
