About The Position

Seeking an experienced Developer / Programmer Analyst to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications. This role involves developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions, as well as troubleshooting production issues and providing ongoing application support. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions and participate in application modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy mainframe systems to Java/SQL platforms. Responsibilities also include documenting technical designs, code changes, and system enhancements.

Requirements

• 15+ years Java development experience
• 10+ years SQL database experience
• 8+ years supporting large-scale applications
• 5+ years Linux experience

• Agile methodology
• Texas State Government application experience
• Legacy mainframe modernization to Java/SQL
