About The Position

ASRC Federal Data Solutions (AFDS) supports NASA's High Performance Computing Services program at Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. The program provides high-performance computing services throughout the HPC lifecycle, including computational requirements, architecture, acquisition, and operations, and supports the Human-Systems Integration Division. The Airspace Operations Laboratory (AOL), part of that division's research portfolio, focuses on operator-centric advanced aeronautics concepts through prototyping, simulations, and flight evaluations. The Senior Programmer/Analyst joins the Infrastructure team and supports tool and application development and optimization for NASA projects and systems at Ames Research Center. The position designs and develops software systems to advance aeronautics research, collaborates with other programmers and developers to sustain core capabilities and create new ones, and interacts frequently with government leaders and technical staff. The role also provides technical guidance, troubleshoots complex issues, mentors junior staff, and aligns development efforts with mission priorities. It supports data collection in laboratory settings and flight-test activities.
