About The Position

The Senior Program Manager is a key team leader within the Program Management Office (PMO), accountable for the successful delivery of complex client portfolios while acting as the primary client relationship owner. This role drives business outcomes through disciplined program execution, financial stewardship, and proactive stakeholder management. The Senior Program Manager partners with cross functional and executive teams to deliver high-quality results, strengthen client relationships, and support organizational growth in a sustainable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; science or related discipline preferred.
  • PMP certification (current or planned).
  • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years of direct project or program management experience.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship and account manager for assigned client portfolios, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term partnership development.
  • Proactively manage client expectations, escalate risks or concerns appropriately, and maintain strong working relationships with all client stakeholders.
  • Act as the single point of contact for client communications, coordinating third-party vendors and project needs.
  • Support PM‑VOC processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in client service and delivery.
  • Lead programs through all phases of delivery—from project award and kick‑off through execution and closeout.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with agreed upon quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated project plans, status reports, timelines, risks, and changes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document client and internal program meetings, including agendas, action items, escalations, and executive level communications.
  • Lead cross functional teams without direct authority by clearly articulating objectives, aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and driving accountability.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize program risks; establish mitigation strategies and contingency plans to protect delivery commitments.
  • Facilitate portfolio level prioritization discussions, including resolution of resource constraints.
  • Lead strategic client discussions and Joint Steering Committee meetings in partnership with senior and executive leadership.
  • Own the financial and contractual management of assigned programs, including forecasting, budget reviews, change orders, bill of materials review, services invoicing, and vendor payments.
  • Support clients with program strategy and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and delivery models.
  • Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives as needed.
  • Act as a senior contributing member of the PMO, supporting site and departmental goals through balanced scorecard execution.
  • Lead or contribute to PMO initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, and delivery excellence.
  • Own or support PMO processes, including training, tools, and associated change management.
  • Mentor and support project managers, strengthening PMO capability and talent development.
  • Represent or deputize for PMO senior leadership when required.
