We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to define, lead, execute, and continuously improve strategic business and technology programs across the organization. This role is accountable for the successful delivery and optimization of global initiatives. This strategic role ensures alignment between business objectives, technology investments, and organizational priorities while driving governance, resource optimization, value realization, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in program management, stakeholder engagement, enterprise platforms, and organizational change management with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business outcomes. THE DEPARTMENT The following teams make up the Technology department: Business Analysis and Quality Assurance, Applications Development, Applications Support, Enterprise Value Delivery and Engineering. The group identifies and develops technological strategies that support GVI’s business goals and objectives to ensure internal and external partners are provided with stable systems. These include: all desktop, network, phone and email systems, applications (reservations and operations systems), websites, and Internet access. THE POSITION The Senior Program Manager defines, leads, executes, and continuously improve strategic business and technology programs across the organization. This role is accountable for the successful delivery and optimization of global initiatives. The role is responsible for the following results: Program Strategy & Portfolio Alignment Develop and execute program strategies aligned to organizational goals and technology roadmaps. Partner with business and technology leaders to identify, prioritize, and sequence initiatives that maximize business value. Create and maintain strategic roadmaps across global platforms and transformation initiatives. Ensure alignment between programs, organizational priorities, portfolio objectives, and budget commitments. Guide business cases, investment planning, and value realization efforts for strategic programs. Program Governance & Delivery Leadership Lead governance frameworks that support effective decision-making, prioritization, risk management, and executive visibility. Drive disciplined execution of programs through standardized methodologies and delivery practices (agile, waterfall, and hybrid). Facilitate steering committees, governance forums, and executive reviews. Ensure programs are aligned with enterprise architecture, security, data governance, and operational standards. Manage dependencies across multiple projects, teams, vendors, and business areas. Transformation Leadership Lead large-scale business initiatives that span the global offices. Partner with business analysts, product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption. Drive process optimization, operational efficiency, and digital transformation opportunities. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, automation, AI, and analytics to improve business outcomes. Support future initiatives as organizational priorities evolve. Resource & Capacity Management Assess program resource requirements and collaborate with leadership to secure necessary staffing and funding. Identify capability gaps and recommend actions to improve delivery effectiveness. Coordinate internal teams, external partners, and vendor resources. Promote effective workforce planning and capacity management within and across programs. Financial Management & Value Realization Own program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Develop and track value realization metrics tied to business outcomes. Monitor program costs, benefits, risks, and return on investment. Provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership. Drive accountability for achieving committed business outcomes. Risk, Dependency & Issue Management Proactively identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and impediments. Establish mitigation plans and escalation paths. Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues that impact delivery. Ensure transparency of risks and opportunities through governance channels. Stakeholder Management & Communication Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders. Communicate program strategies, priorities, progress, risks, and achievements across all organizational levels. Build strong relationships with leaders, operational teams, vendors, and technology partners. Develop and execute communication and change management strategies that support adoption and business readiness. Translate technical concepts into business language and business objectives into actionable delivery plans.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Portfolio Management, PMO leadership, or related strategic delivery roles.
  • 5+ years leading large-scale cross-functional business and technology programs.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as CRM, ServiceNow, Customer Experience, Customer Data, ERP, MDM, or workflow automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated success implementing governance frameworks and driving strategic business alignment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with third parties and managed service providers.
  • Strong executive presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, roadmaps, vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or five plus years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
