About The Position

The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Level L) to join the Boeing Rapid Space Capabilities Program Management team in Albuquerque, NM or El Segundo, CA! This program manager will fill the role of Program Integration Officer for the Rocky Program, managing a multidisciplinary team supporting the development of high-performance electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) sensing and imaging systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for Implementing and enforcing Boeing program management methodologies, tools and processes, Establishing and managing cost and schedule baselines and Tracking and reporting overall program progress (cost, schedule, risk). The selected candidate will also be responsible for managing cross Integrated Product Team (IPT) dependencies and coordination. Clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing leadership and customer program management is required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years performing in a leadership role
  • 10+ years of experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
  • 10+ years of experience working with Earn Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience managing/supporting suppliers (i.e. analyzing cost and schedule, managing baselines)
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Overall program optimization and execution within established cost and schedule baselines.
  • Develops and executes integrated plans and guides the development of IPT performance metrics.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Implements Boeing command media and best practices throughout IPT organization, including safety, risk/issue/opportunity, technical performance, and change control management, among other disciplines.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and management.
