About The Position

The Sr Program Manager, Healthspan & Strategy provides project and program management support for Healthspan initiatives and enterprise strategic priorities. The position translates approved programs, strategies, and initiatives into organized workplans, coordinated activities, effective stakeholder follow-up, and clear status information that supports timely execution and leadership decision-making. The role manages implementation of assigned Healthspan programs and external partner engagements and supports enterprise strategic planning by maintaining visibility into major strategic initiatives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and progress. The Program Manager works across departments, business lines, communities, and external partners to coordinate activities, facilitate communication, monitor progress, and escalate significant issues or barriers to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, project or program management, social sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible project, program, strategy implementation, or related experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, defined timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate approved strategies, programs, or objectives into structured workplans with defined activities, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and follow-up requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives and facilitate execution across departments, locations, and external organizations without direct supervisory authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify project risks, competing priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder conflicts and appropriately facilitate resolution or escalate matters requiring leadership attention.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to organize and interpret quantitative and qualitative information and translate findings into clear status reports and decision-support materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare concise dashboards, project updates, executive briefs, presentations, and other written materials appropriate for leadership audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining effective documentation, stakeholder communication, follow-through, and attention to deadlines.

  • Experience in senior living, aging services, healthcare, affordable housing, or another complex multi-site service environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise strategic planning, annual operating plans, organizational initiatives, or strategy implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Manages implementation of approved Healthspan pilots, programs, and initiatives across assigned sites and populations. Translates approved program designs into implementation workplans, coordinates participating stakeholders and external partners, monitors timelines and deliverables, and identifies implementation issues or risks requiring leadership attention.
  • Manages assigned external consulting, strategy, research, and professional services engagements. Maintains project plans, coordinates working sessions and deliverables, tracks dependencies and risks, facilitates internal review, and escalates significant scope, schedule, or implementation issues.
  • Develops and maintains an enterprise-wide strategic initiative calendar and dashboard that provides visibility into major initiatives, milestones, dependencies, timelines, risks, and key deliverables.
  • Coordinates regular follow-up with enterprise initiative owners to obtain status updates, maintain current project information, and monitor progress against established plans, commitments, and strategic priorities.
  • Identifies cross-initiative timing, dependency, resource, and implementation conflicts and facilitates discussions among appropriate stakeholders to support resolution; escalates significant or unresolved issues and risks to leadership.
  • Tracks major enterprise initiatives against the strategic plan and annual operating plan and prepares status information highlighting progress, significant variances, dependencies, risks, and matters requiring leadership attention.
  • Collects, organizes, analyzes, and summarizes project and program information using established measures and evaluation approaches to support leadership review, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Coordinates stakeholder input and review of internal and external deliverables, consolidates feedback, identifies conflicting input, and facilitates resolution or escalation as appropriate.
  • Documents key decisions, commitments, action items, owners, and due dates; follows up on outstanding items and supports visibility and follow-through across assigned initiatives.
