About The Position

Sayres, a prominent leader in defense support services to the DOD in the shipbuilding industry, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Program Lifecycle Sustainment Analyst with Secret Clearance in Washington, DC. This position is hybrid/remote with 2-3 days onsite. The role involves program planning and total lifecycle sustainment activities across product lines, ensuring continuity from development through deployment, sustainment, and end-of-life. Key responsibilities include coordinating sustainment inputs such as maintenance concepts, spares planning, supportability analysis, training considerations, technical data, and configuration management. The analyst will also assist with tracking readiness drivers, obsolescence risks, and sustainment KPIs across the product lifecycle in alignment with NAVSEA lifecycle management practices. Coordination across multiple enterprises, warfare centers, vendors, primes, and internal stakeholders is crucial to maintain alignment on requirements, schedules, risks, and deliverables. The analyst will serve as a liaison between engineering, logistics, program management, contracting, finance, and operational stakeholders, ensuring enterprise-wide visibility and execution consistency, and supporting integrated product team (IPT) activities and cross-organizational working groups. The role also involves preparing and coordinating integrated program and product briefs for leadership, customers, and external stakeholders, translating technical and performance data into clear, actionable executive-level briefings to support decision-making, and tracking action items, risks, and follow-ups resulting from stakeholder reviews and governance boards. A preferred domain alignment includes applying working knowledge of small boat, combatant craft, or maritime platform systems to product planning, sustainment execution, and capability development, supporting lifecycle planning efforts consistent with portfolio management, surface craft sustainment, modernization, and readiness alignment, and assisting in coordinating modernization, sustainment, and integration efforts across platform, mission systems, and support elements.
