About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). We have an immediate opening for a Senior Program Control Analyst to work in our Huntsville, AL office. In this role, you will support our corporate finance and contracts team and be responsible for providing advanced program control support for government contracts and internal projects. This position oversees cost, schedule, and performance management activities, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and applicable government regulations. The role partners closely with Program Managers, Finance, Contracts, and Operations leadership to support program execution and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 20+ of program control, project control, financial analysis, or government contracting experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal government contracts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • MDA or AvMC program reporting requirements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage program financial planning, reporting, and analyses for multiple government contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance by analyzing cost, schedule, funding, labor, and program metrics, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions to program leadership.
  • Administer contract financials and project data within Unanet, including project setup, funding modifications, WBS structures, labor categories, revenue recognition, and contract maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain program forecasts, including Estimates at Completion (EACs), Bases of Estimates (BOEs), budgets, and other financial planning documents.
  • Collaborate with program managers, executive leadership, customers, and prime contractors to support contract execution, funding management, pricing and proposal development.
  • Oversee travel and labor cost compliance, and financial reconciliations to ensure accurate billing and adherence to government regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government contracting requirements, and prime contractor reporting standards through ongoing financial and contractual oversight.
  • Support annual operating plans and long-range financial planning.
