About The Position

The Senior Program Associate will help advance the Electrification Coalition’s mission to accelerate transportation electrification, primarily by implementing a multi-year Fleet Assessment Program in partnership with Ameren Illinois. The role guides participating organizations through the assessment process, from fleet data collection and total cost of ownership analysis to vehicle prioritization and procurement options, helping them make informed decisions about fleet electrification. The position complements EC’s Community Engagement and Consultation Program and works with overlapping stakeholder networks. The role is 100% remote, with applicants in Illinois or near Ameren Illinois territory prioritized but not required, and requires travel up to 10% of the time. The position is full-time and exempt, reports to the Program Manager, and requires authorization to work in the United States under IRCA. The Senior Program Associate conducts participant outreach, supports fleet data collection and analysis, develops total cost of ownership models using EC’s DRVE tool, and helps communities and partners move from planning to implementation. The role also involves coordinating with Ameren Illinois staff, cultivating cross-sector stakeholder relationships, facilitating meetings and workshops, representing EC at external events, tracking relevant policies and funding opportunities, developing informational materials, and contributing to program management, evaluation, reporting, and proposal development. The ideal candidate has relevant experience in transportation electrification, energy policy, utility programs, nonprofits, government, consulting, or a related field; strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills; and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly. The salary range is $59,000 to $65,000.
