About The Position

Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities or those in need of neurological rehabilitation. We are looking for a Senior Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. Our Sr Direct Care Professionals must have a strong desire to work with autistic, intellectually and/or developmentally disabled individuals. Provides supervision, guidance, instruction, and/or skill building to assigned persons served within a specific Program site regarding daily living activities, safety, vocational activities, and interaction with others. Provides supervision to direct care staff and is in charge of Program site activities in absence of Program Manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of related work experience
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Program Associate in the Bancroft organization required

Nice To Haves

• Additional education in a related field desirable
• BA in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision, guidance, instruction, and/or skill building to assigned persons served within a specific Program site regarding daily living activities, safety, vocational activities, and interaction with others.

• Empower children and adults to develop skills for daily life
• Encourage their independence through personalized plans of care
• Plan events and outings to build the Bancroft community

• Communicate with residents, families, and guardians
