Requirements

  • BA/BS degree plus 5 years of related experience. In lieu of formal education, 13 years of related experience will be accepted.
  • Must have an active secret security clearance.
  • Must have Microsoft office experience (OUTLOOK, WORD, EXCEL), and computer skills/aptitude to use and understand this position’s required unique computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between the program office, contractors, suppliers and FRC on matters related to the modification program.
  • Effectively communicate and interface with PMA-265 IPTs and numerous external organizations, such as the Fleet Readiness Center Competencies (FRCs), Fleet Support Team (FST), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), and NAVAIR Competencies.
  • Organize, lead, and coordinate activities in concert with other members of this multidisciplinary IPT to include NAVSUP, DLA, FST, TYCOM, and Fleet aircraft squadrons.
  • Coordinate with other teams within the PMA, NAVAIR competency members, industry, fleet representatives, DCMAs, NAVSUP, DLA, FST, OPNAV sponsors, PEO(T) and PMA265 staff; to coordinate requirements documents, acquisition documents, contracts, logistics planning and execution.
  • Evaluate program risk, technical performance measures and contractor performance, and develop, recommend and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure program success.
  • Lead the evaluation and reporting of schedule and technical performance to include prediction of future program performance.
  • Assure that relevant programmatic information is shared, coordinated and communicated in a timely fashion amongst various functional experts, other stakeholders, and PMA leadership; assuring the expectations outlined in the modification plans are fulfilled.
  • Suggest alternative course(s) of action in order to mitigate emerging program risks and lead the development of documented agreements between other affected organizations.
  • Represent the program office, as directed, at meetings to provide ECP modification plans, exchange progress information, reconcile conflicting information, provide advice on decision-making alternatives, and coordinate with all stakeholders.
  • Recommend appropriate actions and programmatic adjustments to optimize the SLM modification line.
  • Understand Engineering Change Proposals and Technical Directives and make evaluative analyses of the F/A-18 modifications including work operations, progress, resource utilization, intra and inter-mod line balances.
  • Identify trends, significant program accomplishments, merit and deficiency situations.
  • Collaborate, coordinate and communicate with other SLM team members on a routine basis to resolve challenges.
  • Provide the status of F-18 support equipment associated with each ECPs at the site as requested.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
