About The Position

Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Professional Services Veterinarian to manage the medical education of veterinary clinics across 6 U.S. states in the Salt Lake District (MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO). This role involves travel to these states for in-person education for veterinary practices and local veterinary organizations. The veterinarian will be responsible for the technical acumen of a sales force of 8 employees within these states and will serve as a technical liaison to U.S. veterinary colleges in the designated states through in-person meetings. Additionally, the role includes representing pharmacovigilance, technical marketing, and R&D within these states. Telecommuting is permitted, allowing work from any location in the U.S.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine
  • Five (5) years of experience in veterinary practice
  • Four (4) years of experience in small animal clinical practice
  • Two (2) years of experience in animal health industry
  • Experience presenting technical material to individuals ranging from veterinary assistants to boarded specialty veterinarians as well as group sizes ranging from 10 to 150 individuals
  • Experience supporting a sales team that sells a broad portfolio of animal health products, including providing training, medical education delivery, adverse event reporting, and case management support
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with pharmacovigilance or regulatory affairs
  • Experience in a corporate animal health environment
  • Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one (1) U.S. state within one (1) year of starting employment

Responsibilities

  • Management of medical education of veterinary clinics in 6 U.S. states in the Salt Lake District (MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO) on behalf of the company.
  • Travel to the designated states for in-person education for veterinary practices and for local veterinary organizations.
  • Responsible for technical acumen of sales force (8 employees) who reside in the designated states.
  • Act as technical liaison to all U.S. veterinary colleges in the designated states, which involves in-person meetings.
  • Act as pharmacovigilance, technical marketing, and R&D representative to the designated states.
