About The Position

The Senior Production Specialist provides critical support to daily operations by addressing workflow gaps and ensuring continuity across teams. This role serves as a flexible operational resource and multi-skilled operator who supports production of quality products by performing a variety of roles as needed to ensure continuous product flow while maintaining all safety and quality standards. The position plays a key role in stabilizing operations, improving quality and efficiency, and supporting supervisors across functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Production Coordinator, supporting multiple departments and demonstrating the ability to fill in for the supervisor role when needed
  • Demonstrated history of following and actively supporting all Safety and Quality rules
  • Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of PCC Schlosser product mix
  • Must have obtained Salvage Level II Certification and meet Step 6 requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) of the following Certifications: CMM Heat Treat Penetrant Inspection Level II X-Ray Level II Weld
  • Must be able to achieve Visual/Dimensional Certification within three (3) months
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise direction
  • Ability to adapt quickly and support multiple teams or work areas
  • Willingness to adjust shifts and perform a variety of production-related tasks
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across functions and departments

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a reliable “go-to” resource, assisting team members as needed
  • Performs various job functions to help meet production targets and operational priorities
  • Provides support to resolve customer delivery issues and meet deadlines
  • Fill operational gaps by reallocating resources and assisting teams to maintain workflow continuity
  • Assist with staffing coordination, including PTO/OT scheduling in alignment with operational needs
  • Provide backup support across multiple work centers or departments
  • Provide on-the-floor support to employees, ensuring clarity of work instructions and expectations
  • Provide feedback to employees regarding quality and best practices
  • Assist with training and cross-training efforts to improve workforce flexibility and skill coverage
  • Offer guidance and reinforce best practices related to time management, workmanship, and quality
  • Escalate performance or behavioral concerns to appropriate leadership when necessary
  • Support adherence to established process standards and procedures
  • Monitor processes and notify appropriate personnel when conditions fall outside of control limits
  • Assist with implementation of process updates, including technique card and router changes
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve production issues
  • Assist in communicating quality metrics and issues and celebrating quality successes
  • Assist in setting and communicating daily production goals
  • Support tracking and reporting of team performance and inventory status
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and provide updates as needed
  • Assist in aligning resources to meet throughput commitments and operational targets
  • Interface with engineering, customers, and other departments to support process walkthroughs and operational needs
  • Collaborate with supervisors and planning teams to support short- and long-term production needs
  • Promote and reinforce safe work practices and quality standards
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6S expectations in all supported areas
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; escalate issues when identified
  • Support environmental and safety requirements, including hazardous material handling and required training
